"My husband loves fruitcake but the last few years he hasn't enjoyed fruitcake as much as he use to . That is until I bought him the Harry and David 2lb. fruitcake. after the first bite he couldn't stop saying this is the best fruitcake I've ever had. He absolutely love it and he couldn't stop raving about it. He was telling everyone how good your fruitcake was. He was at first concerned I purchased the 2 lb. size but I told him what he couldn't finish we would freeze. Needless to say it never made it into the freezer. I'm not a fruitcake fan and I even thought it was fantastic. I will definitely be buying this again. If you love fruitcake you can't go wrong with a Harry & David fruitcake. Yummy !!!!!!!"

"This fruit cake has candy fruit only on the top. Its filled with lots of raisins. What we consider a traditional fruit cake, is filled with candy fruit and very little raisins. So if your looking for cake with lots of raisins, this is it. It was not what we expected, but you may like it. I ordered this for my mother and it was not what we were expecting. I will say however, Harry and David's customer service is outstanding, as they sent her another item in its place."

"The taste and texture of this Christmas cake was about average, too sticky for my liking.
The colour should be darker - needed more raisins, to be more like the traditional English Christmas cake.
The price was expensive for such an average Christmas cake.

"I was given this fruitcake last Christmas and it is one of the best I have ever had--lots of dried fruit, nuts and a rich flavor--very moist, too.

"The fruit cake was very heavy which is why the 2 lb er was so small. Just didn't look like much when it showed up.
Also ordered 2 baskets for friends. The fruit did not look that good and the choco covered cherries were very stale and hard.
I was very disappointed because everything else we've gotten from H&D is usually wonderful."

"I bought this for my mom and luckily she was visiting with me so, it was delivered to my house! I had never liked fruitcake but, the reviews were soooo good I had to try it for myself. I think they should call it something else because "fruitcake" tends to turn people away.. but, this cake is soooo good. Makes me sad that my mom took it with her when she went home and now it's out of stock! Can't wait to get it next year!"
