"I have sent H & D Cream of the Crop Royal Riviera pears to several friends.
All have raved about how beautiful they are, but the raving doesn't stop there--not only are they beautiful but, from all accounts, they are incredibly juicy and delicious. Some have said the best pear they've had in a long, long time, others, the best pear they've ever had, full stop.

"I never had to think of a Christmas gift for Mama, I knew what made her happy - Harry and David's pears. I sent Mama Cream of the Crop, or just Royal Riviera pears, didn't matter to her which I sent. I would have them sent to my sister who lived close to Mama and later at the nursing home. She would take the pear to Mama, one at a time as she could not eat a whole Cream of the Crop. I suspect my sister helped her.
It's been 4 years since Mama died at 101 and I could not bring myself to enjoying these unbelievable pears without Mama. It was a form of grieving, I guess. This year I made up for it by ordering the RR before Christmas; then the Cream of the Crop recently for my hubby and I. In my heart I could feel Mama enjoying them with us.
I have cancer and took two of the RR pears to the wonderful nurse that gives me my injections and she shared with her mother. Naturally they loved them and I am sure you have another new customer and a family tradition is formed."
