"I was thrilled to get this as a gift, but noticed several dead leaves when I opened it up. I followed the directions faithfully, but after about a week, noticed more dead leaves, and every day after, it just continued. After two weeks, the poor bonsai was dead. I think it might have had some disease. I had wanted a bonsai for years, but this was a very disappointing experience."

"After receiving 2 Pansy plants that were totally unsatisfactory I was looking forward to receiving my gardenia bonsai plant (replacment for the pansy) It arrived today. the container was quite lovely and the plant has several buds. Unfortunately the container is broken in about 6 pieces. I may try to take the plant out and see if I can glue the pieces together. I think it needed more packaging to cushion the container."

"My husband bought this for me and what a disappointment. It never bloomed just started to die shortly after we received. No matter what we tried it wouldn't revive. Now it's just dried sticks. A costly disappointment."

"My daughter gave me this beautiful plant for Christmas in 2008. It has only bloomed once. It needs very special care but the care directions were NOT sent with the plant. It would be a good thing to include in future shipments."
