"Despite a glitch with the delivery - long story; won't go into detail - the product itself got nice reviews from my parents, to whom the gift basket was sent. The pears got rave reviews! The five star rating is for the product...
Word of advice: order in ample time prior to event; if possible (if not a surprise delivery), ensure that the recipient is going to be home on a certain date prior to setting up the delivery for that date - especially if you are paying premium price for quicker delivery. If talking to customer service with delivery related changes, ensure to write down details - date/time of call/name of service rep - in order to more easily adjudicate delivery "issues" after the fact."

"I sent this as a gift. When it arrived, she did not realize that there were pears in the bottom. They were under the paper shred and another layer of paper. A few days later when she was empting the basket she found the pears. They were bruised and not so fresh"

"I was so disappointed. I paid for the large basket, but they must have sent the extra small basket. There were only 2 pears in it and the basket was only about 11 inches long. I was so embarased. It was for my work and it truly was tiny. I will never send it to anyone."

"This really was a great arrangement. I purchased it for co-worker who had just returned home from the hospital. He was a tricky one because he was a diabetic. His children were staying with him for a few days from out of town so I didn't want to send something that was only for diabetics. So I made sure I got something with some moose munch too. He was so please and his family enjoyed it as well. I was told by him when compared to the website picture that it actually was very similar to what he received. So I would highly recommend this one for many different occasions."

"We placed an order on 1/8/2009 for the Large All-Occasion Gift Basket for delivery by 1/15/09. The basket did not arrive until 1/16 and the condition of the arrangement was HORRID. Although all of the advertised items were included in the basket, the arrangement was visually unappealing, sloppy and basically unattractive. We felt that the photo of the basket was deceitful to depict a lovely and attractively displayed gift when that is not what we received. All of the items were stuffed down flat inside the basket with shrink wrap holding it all in and a flower taped to the outside. In addition, two of the six pears were inedible due to rot and had to be immediately discarded. We were wary of the cheese. This basket was not fit to be given to its intended recipient. In addition, we had ordered a duplicate basket to be sent to San Diego, now we are embarrassed to think about how they must have truly reacted to their gift. H&D refunded us the cost of the basket at our request."
