"All the candy went first. Then a pear - apple. Then the nuts, sausage & cheese. Then more pears - apples. All the fruit was wonderfull - pears were delicious. Made my sister who can never sit still with a broken leg very happy. Much better then all fattening foods.

"My husband and I got this as a gift from his parents for Christmas. GREAT stuff!!
However, my main reason for writing is a review is to say the the basket DOES in fact, come with all the fruit shown. The person who said it does not is quite mistaken. The basket is in two laters: there's packing material, a layer of 8 pears, more packing materials and then all the other items shown in the picture (2 apples, 2 pears, moose munch, cheese, etc).
So, yes, at first glance it does look as if it only has 4 pieces of fruit, but when you actually unpack the basket, there's a whole 'nother layer down there with lots of huge, ripe, juicy pears! YUM! :)
So, please, don't let the ignorance of the other reviewer dissuade you from buying this lovely gift!!"

"We ordered this basket for a very good client that is in this same building with us. The mailman delivered it to us in error - and I'm so glad he did. Instead of having the 10 pieces of fruit it shows - there were two pears and two apples. The bow was pathetic - not the nice bow it shows in the picture. The other items were as pictured and the basket itself was nice. I am not satisfied at all."

"THe gift basket was a gift and a lovely thought. However, as I expressed to the sender it included cheese which was thoroughly melted by the time it was received. Otherwise, very nice, but the cheese just couldnt handle the trip to our home."

"My Dad is 82 years old and I get him a gift basket every year from assorted vendors. When I was told about the Harry & David online orders for fresh fruit, I knew this would top cheesecake or fruitcake from Texas. He absolutely LOVED the basket of fruit and cheeses and crackers!
