"This is a lovely gift that's always appreciated. I understand the cheese is just wonderful. However, for the high price, you would expect the fruit to be perfect, and they had to cut out sections of brown pear. That's not acceptable for this price."

"I've given and happily received Harry and David Riviera pears for many years. They are sweet, juicy, delicious whether eaten alone or in salads with the included blue cheese.
This gift arrived with pears well past their prime but Harry and David quickly replaced them."

"Sent the Rogue Valley Gift Box to my folks. They loved the pears, but my Dad, who is a blue cheese aficianado, rated the blue cheese poorly. There were three different kinds of blue cheese with the gift box, but none of them were very good. Below par for a Harry & Davids product, which, in the past, have always been excellent. Will not order this one again."

"Great gift. The pears made my grandfather very happy. I was informed that something happened during delivery and the cheese was "cooked" in the Florida heat. However, H&D was very accomodating and sent a replacement. H&D have truely shown their quality."

"All the fruit gifts that I have sent to my daughter and her family have been their favorite gifts. The fruit is always in top condition, some is ready to eat immediately and the rest ripens over several days, perfect!"

"I sent Royal Riviera Pears and Rogue Creamery Blue Cheese to my sister for the holidays. She loves cheese and was absolutely awed by the RC Blue Cheese. It was a great sampler at a reasonable price. She was also inspired by the RR pears which she described as juicy and having a "real" pear taste. We grew up in an era when garden and orchard fruit was plentiful (unlike today) - so this was high praise. I would definitely purchase this product again."

"I ordered two of the same item; one for me and one for a gift. I was disappointed and embarrassed to have sent the gift.
When I ordered, I spoke to a representative. I said I wanted the Riviera Pears with Rogue Creamery cheese, but I didn't see that combination in my catalogue. She said there was such a box available but it wasn't in the catalogue. I was delighted, and ordered two.
When the pears arrived, either the Rivieras were a ghastly change from previous years or I received the smaller ones (rosy something?) which isn't what I ordered. Yes, the pears were good, but they weren't the large, luscious Rivieras I had received in the past and that I thought I was sending to my friend."

"My company buys about 30 gift boxes for Christmas. This year I suggested the pears with blue cheese. One box came to my home. These pears are amazing, sweet and juicy as nature intended them to be. I served pear slices with crumbled blue cheese to my friends on Sunday. The blue cheese made the pears a special perfect taste treat. Of course, you must like the taste of blue cheese."
