Better than I expected,November 25, 2009

"After reading the previous review, I was expecting to possibly be disappointed - especially because of the price. Reading from the other reviewer that glitter went all over the place when the tree was taken out of the box, I made sure to open the box outside on the deck. Even so, I didn't experience the glitter explosion I thought I would. The ornaments look better than I expected, as does the pot the tree is "planted" in. Only thing that wasn't the way it should have been...the peppermint ribbon that goes at the top of the tree had come off of the eye-screw holding it and apparently the hole was too big, because it wouldn't stay in the hole. But, this was remedied with Super-Glue in the hole the screw goes in. Overall, I was pleased with the tree and plan to use it for a few years hence. The price is a little more hefty than what it should be for this item (I can see paying that much for one of the living trees, but not for this one), but...by December 26th, I won't care, will I? It's cute, it's just what I needed, and I'm happy. Merry Christmas!"

Not Harry and David's quality,October 27, 2009

"I've bought live Harry and David trees many times and was perfectly happy with them. I thought an artificial tree might solve a timing problem this year. Unfortunately, glitter spread all over the place when I opened the package, and it wasn't packed in such a way as to be easy to pack again and store. To H&D's credit, they were willing to give me full credit on this item."
