"Delivered without directions. Sent 4 of these as Christmas gifts. All recipients informed me that there were no directions included and that they had to contact H&D for instructions. Recipients also informed me that they did not flower last year after following instructions. Will not order again."

"For the past 2 years, I have been given the Amaryllis bulbs as a gift. Last year, neither bulb even sprotted a green leaf. This year, the same person bought it again for me (hoping that it would not be bad 2 years in a row), and again, nothing. Well, at least this year, a leaf started to peak out, but I have had them for 6 weeks now.
I have in the past, tried to buy a rose plant as a gift for my Grandma. It came and was dry and the leaves were turning brown. 2 days later it died!

The customer service at H&D is excellent. Everytime there has been a problem, I have called and they will replace the bad item with a comparable item."

"I've never had good results with Amaryllis plants before so I was delighted when my Candycane Amaryllis produced two flower stalks; ending up with 9 wonderful blooms. Then, the Holiday Scarlet Amaryllis proceeded to give me five more blooms to enjoy!"

"I ordered 2 Amaryllis for my mom at Christmas. It said in the ad that they would bloom in 6 weeks. Here it is the end of January and one plant, that is maybe 12inches tall, is just now starting to bloom and the other is stunted and has 1 small unopened bloom on it. A lady where I work has one in her room and both plants are at least 24inches tall with lots of opened flowers on both plants. She also received hers at Christmas but from a different company. I'm very disappointed."

"This is the second year my daughter sent us an amaryllis...the first year was a single amaryllis and it bloomed beautifully and lasted months. This past Christmas she sent us the larger container with the two amaryllis bulbs. Here it is January 28 and we have about the same 1/2" growth on one bulb and nothing on the other, except maybe a little mold. We are very disappointed this year."
