Two Boxes of The Favorite® Royal Riviera® Pears Fresh Fruit Gift
These extraordinary winter pears are cause for celebration because their sublime flavor, lush juiciness and creamy texture are truly unique. First grown in France in the 1840s, the very finest today are grown by us here in Southern Oregon. We'll select and pack 7 to 12 pears per box, depending on fruit size. Save on two individual boxes when sent to the same address.

"My favorite from Harry and David has always been the Royal Reviera Pears. I tell people about them and build up expectations.
Howver, this last time they did not meet up with my expectations of the sweet, creamy, smooth and delicious pears taht I was used to. They were grainy and the skin was hard and tough. It was a great disappointment!"

"I have purchased Royal Riviera Pears as "healthy" gifts for friends for years. I have been able to purchase this item locally in Naples, but all of the stores in Florida have been closed. These two boxes were NOT the quality that I purchased in the stores and had bruised spots. I was able to put all the good pears in one box and kept the damaged pears for myself.....and purchased something else for the other friend who didn't get pears."

Usually the pears are excellent quality which is why we order from Harry and David, but this order was very disappointing especially since I had ordered 2 gift packages and the pears were the same in both orders."

"Usually the Royal Riviera Pears are spectacular, and I look forward to them every year. This must be a bad year for the crop. The boxes came rather beat up, and I thought that was why many of the pears were bruised. I called, and Harry and David, as usual, very graciously lived up to their guarantee and sent 2 new boxes. Despite the fact that those boxes were in better shape, the new pears also were bruised and marked, in some cases worse than the first shipment. I did not call again, figuring it was fair that between the 4 boxes, 2 boxes worth should be okay. I'm letting them ripen, hoping the flavor hasn't been compromised; however, as they ripen the bruises are becoming more and more pronounced.
I know these pears usually are food of the gods, so I will try them again next year and see what happens."

"Because of the Harry & David sales offers, I have purchased a number of boxes of pears in the last few weeks, some as gifts and some for our home use. The pears are absolutely delicious, and the only real complaint is that almost every box had at least one spoiled pear in it. Even at sale prices, these pears are expensive. While I realize the transportation of fruit could have devastating effects, these pears were not damaged, they were rotten."

"these pears are the best tasting ever. I received the 1st box as a gift, then I ordered for my son and again for us. When they arrived , had dark spots on them. I let them know and they sent out 2 new boxes. I think they may have gotten frost,(we live in N.D. ) the pears still taste delicious. I will never eat another bartlett. "Pears have always been a favorite, ever since I was little. Waiting for the perfect time, just enough softness, but not too mushy! I was introduced a little over a year ago to your pears. After a couple of days resting in the box, they are wonderful!! You actually do have to have a towel or napkin near-by because of the amount of sweet pear juice that runneth over!!! My daughter and I always save the 'golden wrapped pear' for last!! It is like the special jewel in the box!"
