"I have ordered this in the past and been very happy, but this time over 50% of the pears arrived bruised and over ripe, and were unedible. The same results were also found in the box I sent to my daughter as a gift, and we were both very disappointed."

"We were very disappointed in the Royal Riviera pears we received last week. Usually, we are ecstatic with H&D deliveries...but we received 7 pears. One was overripe/rotten on delivery. The others were underripe and did not ripen evenly. We were forced to cut away huge parts of the pear."

"I had ordered this fruit along with a dozen roses for my wife on Valentines Day. Of course I waited until just a few days before and requested 2-day shipment. Well, the roses arrived OK but the pears didn't arrive before we left on a week-long trip. I was dreading our finding the frozen pears on our doorstep when we arrived, but they were shipped through the postal service and were safe in the post office. They are definitely the best, juiciest pears we have ever eaten."
