"I send these juicy pears to my 78 year old dad every year for his birthday. He says they are the best pears in the world, like eating candy with juice dripping down. Thank you for growing such a wonderful, edible treat for older folks that don't like to do too much chewing. He can consume a whole box in a couple of days. "For several years I used to receive a gift package from a relative of mine ordered through Harry and David's. The pair set received were outstanding. Unfortunately my relative passed away a couple of years ago obviously I have not received a gift package. The since I enjoyed the pair so much I recently have ordered them on my own, however they do not seem to the same standard that I used to receive. Perhaps it was the time of the year or maybe I ordered the wrong product, but they just were not as good as before. I understand that they are shipped not fully ripe, so I allow them to ripen for a few days. In any event they just did not seem to uphold the standard of prior Harry and David's"
